Dear AWM Austin Community,
As we head into a new term, I’m feeling incredibly excited about what’s ahead for the Austin Alliance for Women in Media. Our organization continues to grow, evolve and welcome new faces, new ideas, and new energy, and I truly believe this upcoming year is going to be one of our best yet.
Of course, none of that happens without this amazing community. Thank you to everyone who joined us this past year at our luncheons, happy hours, Battle of the Media Stars, and Trailblazer & Awards of Excellence Gala. Every event reminded us how valuable it is to have a space where media professionals can connect, support one another, and just have a really good time together.
Now, we’re looking forward.
Our 2026-2027 Board has already started planning for the upcoming season, and we’re excited to bring you a calendar full of engaging events, fresh conversations, professional development opportunities, and networking experiences that feel meaningful…and fun! We want AWM Austin to continue being a place where connections turn into collaborations and where people across all areas of media feel welcomed and supported.
One thing I’m especially excited about is continuing to grow our community and create even more opportunities for members to get involved. Whether you’re a longtime member or brand new to AWM Austin, there’s a place for you here, and we hope you’ll join us throughout the year.
Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements and save-the-dates soon. We have a lot in the works, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

AWM Austin is proud to celebrate our LGBTQ+ members and friends! The Alliance has always promoted the development and empowerment of queer folks in the media landscape. We attempt to create content that engages people in a dialogue about the need for greater diversity and representation in the media industry and highlight campaigns that fuel societal progress.
